NDR and GOD left simultaneously the alliance this morning after we had announced that we plan to end the alliance with them.
They left so fast that they did neither had the chance to see what we were saying to them nor said goodbye, which I think is the proof that the decision was right.

These last days we had a couple of emotional discussions on Alliance channel and on private chats. Now we can see over aggressive chitchat for a while as long as it's not coming from or backed up by the leadership team of an allied guild and therefore made the decision inevitable.

SOJ is a social guild. Our focus was and is to play together in a nice friendship like atmosphere.
At the start we hoped that NDR has the same focus and enjoys that new dimension of interactivity.
At the end we unfortunately had the feeling that there was not even a superficial form of respect left between some people resulting in too many flame competitions on the Alliance chat.

Why did it end that way? Running a good alliance needs good working communication between the leadership teams. Maybe all sides involved did not put enough effort into that. Furthermore NDR and GOD seem to be self contained, they don't want or need an alliance.

We will miss a couple of NDR member a lot, because we had the impression that they are very friendly people sharing the same game spirit. I was also very happy lately to see that interaction between the guilds has seen a small come back with some NDR members joining again SOJ activities and events. That's why we have tried to ignore the occasionally upcoming disputes especially about and around the use of the alliance channel. We did not give up easily as we wanted to keep contact and were hoping that the aggressive people among you may either become more moderate or would move to another game

Unfortunately this did not happen and the way we talked to each other became more and more rude since the end of last year and there was no sign of improvement, in the contrary, teasing and provocations on Alliance channel were followed by harsh and unfriendly personal messages.

We hope that people that got to know each other well and like to play together will be able to stay in contact also outside the alliance.
